South African Artillery Regimental Histories

The South African Army Artillery capability is grouped into two disciplines, namely Field Artillery and Air Defence Artillery. The respective disciplines fall under the command of the SA Army Artillery Formation and the SA Army Air defence Artillery Formation.

• Field Artillery Regiments fall under the command of the South African Army Artillery Formation. The current General Officer Commanding is Brig Gen J. Maso
• Air Defence Artillery Regiments fall under the command of the South African Army Air Defence Artillery Formation. The current General Officer Commanding is Brig Gen L. Phuckree.
