On December 7, 2024, Gunner Dirk Bloem (HLVP), Branch Chairman of the Gunners’ Association Potchefstroom Branch, welcomed members of Armour Corps to a special visit to the National Gunners Memorial site in Potchefstroom. They are from the 1977/78 intake, Delta Squadron in Walvis Bay. They were guided through the site, and offered interesting insights into its historical significance and details around the stories behind the various guns on display. This visit served as an opportunity to honor the legacy of the Artillery Corp and strengthened the bond between the Gunners and Armour Corps communities.
