A special gathering, known as a Tiddler, was held at Fort Wynyard, the headquarters of the Autshumato Anti-Aircraft Regiment, on Saturday, the 15th of March. The event took place on the eve of the regiment’s annual memorial service and saw the attendance of approximately 70 guests.
The Tiddler, a time-honored tradition among the regiment’s members and supporters, was structured as a formal dinner generously sponsored once again by Reutech Radar Systems. This longstanding partnership underscores the deep ties between the regiment and the defense industry, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and appreciation for shared heritage.
Following a well-received dinner, guests participated in the customary toasts, paying tribute to the regiment’s history, service, and fallen comrades. A highlight of the evening was the “Colours” ceremony.
The event at Fort Wynyard once again proved to be a meaningful and well-attended occasion, strengthening bonds within the regiment’s community.
