EDUCATIONAL TOUR FOR LEARNERS COUPLED WITH CLEANING & MAINTENANCE OF
EXTERNAL EXHIBITS AT THE DITSONG NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MILITARY HISTORY
Dear Fellow Veterans,
13 APRIL, 2024
The Ditsong National Museum of Military History needs support in cleaning and maintenance of the
outdoor exhibits. These include aircraft, tanks, guns, the mini submarine and many others.
I would appreciate if veteran organisations and individual veterans would support a cleaning and
maintenance day from 09:30 to 12:00 on Saturday 13 April, 2024.
The cleaning and maintenance will be coupled with an educational tour for learners before they join
the veterans in cleaning the exhibits.
Please bring some of the following with you:
Cloths
Cleaning fluid
Buckets
Brooms
Mops
Brushes
Silvo
A step ladder (for the aircraft)
A pressure hose (if available)
These items will be provided for the learners.
I particularly appeal to interalia the MOTH, Gunners’ Association, SAAF Association, Naval Officers’
Association, 32 Bn VA, Armour Association, LAARSA/Parabat Association, SAMVOZA, MAG and
the SA Legion to support this initiative. All veterans are however very welcome. We need all the
hands we can get.
