At a recent Memorial Parade to commemorate The Anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein  held at The Coalbox Shellhole, at Salvokop (Die Groen Magasyn) in Pretoria, The Gunners’ Association had the privilege to award an Octogenarian Certificate to the former Sergeant Major of the Army WO1 JJ (Koos) Moorcroft.
