State Artillery cleans and maintains

Union Building Gun.

Pretoria 17 May 2021,

Members of the State Artillery Regiment have mobilized and cleaned up the 6 Inch 26 CWT Gun that is displayed in front of the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

This particular gun served on the Western Front in WW 1 in the Nugent Fitzpatrick Battery and is a sister gun to those standing in the Company Gardens in Cape Town and the Zoo in Johannesburg.

Pictured here with the gun are Sgt Tshoane and Gunner Mere who were ably assisted in the task by Sgt Wait and MWO Dlamini the RSM of State Artillery.
