This was a result of his efforts in 1987 and 1988 in keeping up the constant supply of ammunition and spares to the gunners deployed on operations Moduler, Hooper, Packer and Hilti/Prone. Added to this is his presence at Durban branch lunches and functions over the last two years. A well-deserved award.
Pictured also is the branch’s new gong engraved with the association badge and “powered” by a ¼ scale rammer.
Lunch was held at the Bush Pub in Umhloti this time for the benefit of those members who live well to the north of the Durban area. Next lunch will be back at our usual venue, Royal Natal Yacht Club on 7 April.
